The Sewing Machine Basics Class is a beginner-level sewing class where you will learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine. This class is perfect for those who have little to no experience with sewing machines.

2. How long is the Sewing Machine Basics Class?

The Sewing Machine Basics Class is a one and a half (1.5) hour class.

3. What will I learn in the Sewing Machine Basics Class?

In the Sewing Machine Basics Class, you will learn how to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, safely operate a sewing machine and sew basic stitches. Depending on the pace of the class, we may learn how to sew a button and/or a zipper. By the end of this class, you will have the skills to confidently operate a sewing machine on your own.

4. Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

No, you do not need to bring your own sewing machine. We provide all the necessary equipment and materials for the class, including sewing machines.

5. Can I bring my own sewing machine to the class?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine to the class if you prefer to learn on your own machine. However, please make sure your machine is in good working condition. Also, please e-mail us (info@endangeredstitches.com) at least 24 hours before the class to let us know you're planning to bring your own sewing machine. Be sure to include the brand and model.

6. Is the Sewing Machine Basics Class suitable for children?

The Sewing Machine Basics Class is designed for adults, but children aged 12 and above are welcome. We appreciate notification upon registration if registering a child for the class.

7. Can I get a refund if I can't attend the Sewing Machine Basics Class?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for classes. However, if you are unable to attend the class, you can contact us at least 48 hours in advance, and we will be happy to transfer your registration to another available class within the next 3 months.

8. What happens if the Sewing Machine Basics Class is canceled?

In the event that we need to cancel the Sewing Machine Basics Class due to unforeseen circumstances or severe weather, we will notify you as soon as possible. You will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer your registration to another available class.
